Today’s Schedule: @4 p.m. is the Indie Press Showcase: Marvin Tate (MAKE Magazine), Robbie Q. Telfer (Write Bloody), Adam Robinson (Publishing Genius), and Sierra DeMulder (Write Bloody). @7 p.m. is another round of Indie Press Showcase, this time with Adam Levin (McSweeney’s),Lindsay Hunter (Featherproof Books), Anne Elizabeth Moore (Green Lantern Press), andPatrick Somerville (Featherproof Books). Reading this weekend: Mark Booth’s The Sea is Represented by an Irregular Shape

  This weekend, Devin and I (among others) are going to be reading sections of Mark Booth’s piece at Devening Projects. You can read a essay I wrote about Mark’s work by going here. In conjunction with the exhibition The Sea is Represented by an Irregular Shape Devening Projects and Editions presents God is Represented by the Sea, a durational collaborative performance by Mark Booth. He descends from downstate Irish farmers and Humboldt Park tenement Italians. He has made a lot of records, mostly with his band Joan of Arc, and is now in his final semester of the SAIC MFAW FYI.
