An interview with Tsherin Sherpa

Posted on by admin

I met Tsherin Sherpa years ago in California. Back then he was only doing thankga paintings, but then too a few years ago he came out to Chicago for a group show with Carl Baratta at the old GL space on 1511 N Milwaukee. In the last few years, he has been making more contemporary work, incorporating Tibetan themes and styles into a more contemporary (for lack of a better word) art context. I asked him a number of questions about that. You can read our conversation by going here.
