Queering Expectations
I just posted a new something-something on Bad at Sports. It’s basically just a link to another interview Marissa Perel conducted with Katy Pyle, about her Firebird performance. The conversation got me really excited, as there is a lot to think about, particularly in relation to gender fluidity, archetypal expectations and the vocabulary of dance.
Otherwise things have been pretty busy, and I feel a little behind on blog things. It’s kind of cool, however, because I’m working on a bunch of different pieces for other projects that should come together in the not-so-near future. So, hopefully I’ll be able to share some of that text-brewing-in-the-eaves in the near(ish) future.
